Did you realize that VPH is part of the Long Island Sound Watershed?  As such, VPH is a strong supporter and member of the Manhasset Bay Protection Committee [MBPC].  Trustee Don Parker attends MBPC meetings and Ed Butt is the VPH Storm Water Management Officer. By law, VPH is required to file an annual report (called "MS4") with New York State not later than June 1 regarding our relationship with the local waterway (for example, handling of storm water waste, educational opportunities for the public with regard to environmental concerns). Plandome Heights is committed to excellence in this area and welcomes input from residents on the annual report in particular and the program in general. To review the current MS4 annual report, please launch the attached PDF: MS4 annual report. For information on the MBPC please click the following link http://www.manhassetbayprotectioncommittee.org/

We are looking for families to "Adopt a Drain" to keep debris off the tops of our storm drains.  All debris on our storm drains eventually ends up in Manhasset Bay.  To "Adopt a Drain" or for any Storm Water Management Program questions or for information on VPH Compliance with New York State's MS4 report please email us.please email us at info@PlandomeHeights-NY.gov
